Coarse Fishery & Fishing Tackle shop
Within the grounds of Conwy Water Gardens are two well stocked coarse fishing lakes. These lakes enjoy stunning views over the Rowen Valley and are surrounded by the natural woodland & farm land of North Wales.·Many of our regular fishermen insist that we are North Wales Premier Fishery.·All our lakes have purpose built fishing pegs with paths leading to all fishing pegs. Disabled access is available from our car park which is only 30 meters from our specimen lake & also our new toilet facilities are available next to the lakes.
A tackle shop is on site with a very good selection of Mainline baits, maggots, worms, pellets & ground bait. Also available as of 2018 is Korda and Guru terminal tackle.
During 2018/2019 we are feeding our fish in the lake to promote fish health and growth. The pellet we feed our fish on is available at the tackle shop.
Light refreshments are available from the shop and for something more substantial from the Dutch Pancake House and Restaurant serving delicious sweet & savory pancakes & a choice of specials from 11 am.
The hardest choice you will have to make is which lake to fish first. The 18 peg Canal Lake is approximately 3-4ft deep with an island down its center ideal for pole fishing or the newcomer to the sport. It is stocked with mixed Carp, Bream, tench, Barbel all up to 8lb in weight.
The Middle Specimen Lake was stocked over 20 years ago so the fish have had plenty of time to grow. It is 2 acres in size & is up to 8ft deep which makes it ideal for all year round fishing. The lake is stocked with 19lb + carp, Ghosties, Crucians, Bream, Tench, Orfe, Barbel, Chub, Roach & Rudd so there is something for everyone’s taste.
This year we have added 2500 roach and 8 new specimen carp to the middle lake.
